I doesnt work. I clicked the fix for the 43 button remote. restarted the ir program in the system tray nothing seemed to work. What are you supposed to be able to do with the remote. Can you start the GBPVR like you can with wintv. Will it navigate thru the menus. I ask cuz I wanna make sure I am not expecting too much out of the remote. (I would like to stop using the mouse as the remote). Thanks in advance for your help

Did you hit the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button?

What hauppauge card are you using (ie PVR-150 or 350?).

By default, the green button doesn't start GB-PVR - see this thread for information on how to let it do that by editing irremote.ini

Yes - you can completely control GB-PVR via remote - have you restarted the hauppauge ir program after hitting the "fix hauppauge remote settings" button?

I had this same problem. After reading the hauppauge book, it mentioned that the plug on the IR receiver needs to be well seated in the card. It actually clicks twice while inserting it. Once I pushed/wiggles the IR plug into the tuner card, it worked perfectly.

Yes i tried both fix for hauppauge buttons. I made sure it was seated properly. The other day I bought an AIW 9600 with the remote can that be made to work with GBPVR?

After shuffling the PCI cards in my server to make room for a new dual tuner card, my Hauppauge remote stopped working. I read the same thing in the Hauppauge manual. I checked the remote cable several times by reaching around the back of the computer and making sure it was pushed in completely. Still no luck. On further inspection, I discovered that the remote plug was obstructed by the slot in the case. The Hauppauge card was leaning slightly to one side. I moved the top of the card over slightly, and was able to get the remote plug to seat completely against the tuner card. I don't know if that will help anyone, but just in case....

Daris

Don't know if this will help anyone, but... I picked up a Hauppauge 43-button remote from eBay. I tried to use it with my WinTV PVR USB2. No joy. I contacted the seller and she recommended that I upgrade my drivers. I upgrade the INF, drivers and IR application and now it works. It works the best with the 34-button setting. I need to get the Irremote.ini file right. If I get something that looks good, I will share it. One thing definitely missing on this remote is the FULLscreen button. That is annoying. The buttons that correspond to the 34-button remote seem to work. Hope this helps.

In my Irremote.ini, all but one of the buttons on the 43-button remote were mapped (plus FUNC and maybe others). As the SubCC button was not mapped, I added:

SUBCC={alt}{enter}

to the end of the GB-PVR section in my ini and now I have a full screen button. Yeah.
