k, sorry if these seems a really basic question but I have become very confused about some parts of this PVR. I have almost no experience with PVR's apart from WinTV2000. I managed to get all the channels set up, and I can record and watch the recordings no problems. Just 2 questions, why when I watch LiveTV do i just get the message "Video is playing back using TV out" I only have my monitor with my computer is there anyway I can just get the TV to appear on the monitor like in WinTV2000 or is this mainly designed for playback through a TV, also when I am watching the blank screen my recording folder is recording the LiveTV is there anyway I can disable this as it takes up vast amounts of room after a while (same thing happens with radio). This is an awsome program and I am sure it is just me being a idiot... Cheerz for any help

P.S. Sys Specs
WinXP Pro
PIV 1.7Ghz
ATI Radeon 9700Pro
Haupauge PVR 350
Audigy 2 ZS
(think those are the only relevent ones)

In the config app there is a setting called "Hardware Decoder". You currently have this set to "Hauppauge PVR350", which forces GB-PVRs interface and video to sent out the TV out connector on the back of the PVR350. If you'd prefer to see it on your PC monitor, you can set the hardware decoder to "None - use software".

GB-PVR always records a live tv mpeg file when your watching live tv. This is required, and there is no way to disable it. This is the playback buffer. It is limited to 1GB, but there is a registry setting to make the buffer smaller (but its not advised).

Thank you so much sub, this is an awsome program and I cant believe how quickly you managed to reply. It is working brilliantly and I am watching the olympics at last :-)
It is no problem if LiveTV does not take up more than 1GB I thought it would simply continue to grow which is not good as I think I may watch way to much TV...

Thanks again!
