Hi,

Not sure if this was referred to by anyone in the past (although I think I saw something somewhere...).

I have a wierd problem (I'm currently, as says in the title, using 0.95.16) and for some reason some shows are being recorded only for about 12 minutes. Not sure if there's a pattern or not (maybe the first show of every new day)...

According to the logs it looks like the show is being recorded fully (45 mins) but it is actually only about 12 minutes! (the file it self is as well about 1/4 of the supposed size).

Here's the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log part referring to this problematic recording:

From past experience, if GB-PVR manages to start a recording then it'll typically continue to record to the end of the recording without any problems. The only situtation where I'm aware of recordings stopping part way through, were on analog hauppauge with some chipsets when sharing an IRQ with another devices.

GB-PVR doesnt actually do anything during a recording. It effectively sets up the recording then gives the 'start' command. When the recording is due to finish, it gives the 'stop' command. It doesnt do anything with device in between these two points. It sounds like in your case the driver has spontaneously decided to stop producing data.

Something you can quickly rule out:
- I had a playback problem where it would freeze after exactly 5 minutes. It turned out that version on Intervideo I was using had not properly unlocked from the demo which was time limited.. to.. you guessed it 5 minutes.

Make sure that what ever MUX you are using does not have any limitations. Try a different MUX?
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual)

DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3).
Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler.
Sits in rack with other HiFi.

ParaLED to show tuner activity.
