I'm have a strange problem that I cannot seem to remedy. All of my program listing are listed an hour earlier than they should be.

For example, on Channel 221 - Encore - First Blood is listed at starting at 1pm. However, on my cable channel it actually starts at 2pm.

I have changed my time-zone settings for my EPG source. I have updated my EPG (Zap2it) several times...still, no remedy.

My system time exactly matches my cable/local time.

Is this a Zap2it or GBPVR issue?

I've made silly errors in the past, so I'm probably doing it again.

Thanks to anyone with any ideas.

The timezone settings for the EPG are only applied at the time the EPG is imported, so you may need to do an 'Empty EPG' to get rid of the existing listing, before using 'Update EPG' again.

I've got the same issue. I tried the above suggested solution to no avail. I've checked both my system and my EPG source (Zap2it).

Any other other solution?

Thanks,

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure you must be doing it wrong. Its working for the vast majority of users.

Where are you, and what timezone did you select?

Do an 'empty EPG' to get rid of the listing you've already imported, then set the timezone correctly (read the descriptions of the timezones carefully).

If you live on the east cost of USA then I had to place my timezone in GBPVR at -4:00 when
it is really -5:00 in Windows. I had the same problem, kept checking Zap2It and any other settings I could find with no luck. It probably has to do with day-light savings time, in the fall I will probably have to move it to -5:00. I'll let you know.

I had the same problem (just installed GBPVR today) and voila here's the answer. That's fast. Thanks.

First you got to figure out what the core timezone is to offset from. If GMT is the core timezone (which it generally is) then you have got to remember to apply daylight savings (if you live in an area which obeys this rule). So on the east coast you are more than likely in EDT which is -4 from GMT (-5 from British Summer Time).

If you check your windows timezone it probably say -5:00 GMT which is correct but don't forget that you probably have automatic daylight savings ticked as well.

Work for a global company and you soon learn about these things. Especially when the US Autumn time change is a week apart from Europe and you end up phoning your boss at 6:00am in the morning instead of 7:00am (suddenly for a week there was 9hrs difference to the west coast instead of 8 - i forgot). It was certainly a nice surprise for her!

Anyway, have fun with timezones - it will do your head in [Image: smile.gif]
