Hey all,

I have recently built a new PVR to replace my old machine, however I have run into two problems.

#1 Channel 5, and it's only Five that this happens to, is very choppy in playback, its as if you were playing back a compressed movie on a 400Mhz computer.

#2 Perhaps the more annoying issue, when hopping channels if I launch live tv then go into either the mini EPG or the full EPG and change channel I have no sound until I flick up and then back down a channel.

The spec of my new PVR is:

AMD 64 3000 (running at 2.4Ghz)
Asus A8V-Deluxe (via chipset if that makes a difference)
512mb RAM (not great but it should be fine)
2x 160gb Seagate Barrcudas (7200rpm, 8mb cache)
Leadtek PVR2000 (edited in as I forgot to add it)

Thanks,

Stew

#1 could be a tuning issue. #2 sounds like drivers or drivers for your card
Asus A7V880 Motherboard
AMD Sempron 2400+ 1.67GHz (Socket A) CPU
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 200GB SATA 8MB Cache
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 160GB SATA 8MB Cache
Corsair 512MB DDR Value Select PC3200
Hauppauge PVR150
2 X Hauppauge Nova-T (200009)
FX5200 composite out

Tried retuning Five and it cleared it up a bit, I'll get into the loft this afternoon and check to see if the booster is dead.

Drivers could be the problem, the only ones Leadtek do are on their site as MCE 2005 ones, is that a problem?

Five is the poorest coverage in the UK. I do seem to remember an issue with sound on an earlier release of GB-PVR but that was a long time ago. I have sound issues with a PVR150. Somethimes it records with sound sometimes not. I will be swapping this card out for a Nova T in the near future so this will solve this problem
