When the recording services starts up, the status says the tuner #1 is sleeping.

The wintv 2000 works fine.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

They are supposed to be "sleeping" when it first starts. What happens when you try to view live tv or schedule a recording - do you get an error?

I don't know how to watch live tv nothing comes up when I start the program. I have to right click on the GB icon in the system tray in order to get the status.

When you start GB-PVR do you get the main menu? You start it from the Start -> Programs -> GB-PVR menu option, not from the system tray icon.

Its probably worth setting the MPEG2 decoder on the playback tab to something other than "system default". There a couple that it doesn't like, and one of these may be the system default on your machine.

Yes, if you reinstall the Hauppauge software it overwrites the settings in the irremote.ini file. If you search the forum for "irremote.ini" you should quickly find the settings that are require in this file. After adding them, restart the Hauppauge IR software and you should be away. (...Alternatively, reinstall GB-PVR)
