I thought you mean MCEir 2005.
I'm using with both settings GBPVR and Hip application (http://www.byremote.com.au/). In fact GBPVR settings are not covering some buttons as coloured buttons (red green yellow and blue) and few others.
Drivers for IR are those coming from Microsoft not those suggested in HIP site.
The settings I've done in the HIP application are:
First delete any "System-wide key" in File->Preferences...-> Alternate Input.
Then load the attached file.
In the Program 1 (main screen) fill fields with GBPVR reference as managed Application (e.g. C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe).
That's all
Mine works fine, your... let me know

I have it working and every button works just fine..not messing around with it. I installed Girder and mapped the "green button" to launch gbpvr, and I mapped the program information button to by my F7 key. I run everything on that machine straight from that remote and have no issue at all. Maybe I will get creative and figure out how to map the Live TV button and the Recorded TV buttons.

Thats not correct. These buttons do work. I think the only buttons that dont work on the MCE2005 remote are the 'green windows button', 'more' button and the 'recorded tv button'.

is there any way to modify the recorded tv etc to work.
i am sure you could just map to an F-something key.
Also i want to avoid running hip as i have a slow computer and hip is just another program to slow it down. i have had all the buttons working with hip though as suggested above.

I would have also handled these last couple of remaining buttons if I could find away to get notification that they have been pressed. Unfortunatley these buttons seem to behave differently to all the other buttons, or there is something else on the system that swallows these events. I currently cant find any way to tell that they've been pressed.

Thanks, but I'd rather just stick with the standard drivers.
