Here's a strange problem:

Using DScaler5 as a decoder works great -- until I pause or fast-forward. When it resumes, there's about a 75% chance that the video will be extremely stuttered and jerky.

To get it back in synch, I have to either pause or hit FF again -- though, I sometimes have to do this multiple times before it smoothes out.

Only DScaler5 does this among all of my decoders, but I'd like to keep using it because it does the best job with sports.

Ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,
S.

Sorry no, I've never used this decoder. Maybe someone else has something for you.

Have a read of the sticky thread at the top of the support forum. Try replacing your quartz.dll with the dx9b version.

So, I THOUGHT I had already tried the quartz.dll fix, until I dug deeper into the thread you suggested.

That's when I realized that there were a few different versions of that "older" 9b .dll floating around -- and the one I tried a few weeks ago wasn't the right one.

I tried the "older" 1.2MB quartz.dll file, and it fixed the problem!!!

Thanks for the help,
S.
