it looks like the adaptec videooh pci 2410 capture card is supported when i installed gbpvr - it is one of the choices on the pull down menu for devices,
but i keep getting an error when i use the live tv option. I was wondering if there is a specific setup someone used to get this card to work or if it is indeed not supported.

Thanks

according to the wiki it is.

so i guess the error you get is not related to the card but to a problem with your config. can you describe the error a bit further or reproduce the error and post the logs (logging set to debug).
you can find the logs in the \gbpvr-directory.

i want to say thanks so much for your quick response; unfortunelty, I won't be able to run the logs until I get home tonight. I will post the log as soon as i have a chance - but what is the name of the spcific log file i should be looking for

thanks again for all your help

You didnt include the GBPVRRecordingService.... logs. Can you please supply these also. Ideally just after you've tried to do a recording.

It slooking for the Adaptec components, but not finding them in your machine.
Quote:01:22:26.515 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Adaptec PCI TvTuner
01:22:26.515 ERROR Failed to find TvTuner filter

You either dont have them installed, or Adaptec have changed the names sometime in the last year or so. If the latter, you could try updating direct.ini with the correct component names.

Could it be anything else
I have Changed the direct.ini to correspond to the names given by the oem intervideo win dvr3 software - yet I still can't get it to work
When i run the intervideo win dvr3 program - the capture card works without a problem
any other suggestions would be very welcomed

thanks
