Hi,

When I start GBPVR configuration I get the following error from the .NET Framework:

"An unhandled exception has occured in your application.
The .Net Data OLE DB Provider(System.Data.OleDb) requires Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later.
Version 2.53.6200.0 was found currently installed."

I have installed .Net Framework 1.1

Similarly when I click OK in the config util I get another error:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Anyone else get this problem?

Thanks
Andy

Are you running on Windows 2000?

On Windows XP you shouldn't require any additional install. On Windows 2000, I'm starting to suspect you may need to install MDAC 2.6 or later.

Windows 2000. I found MDAC 2.8 and installed it and it's fixed the problem.

Thanks
Andy

Have just sent the last 2 weeks trying to get mythtv, a pvr350 and sound all working under linux ... and failed.  I thought I would give gbpvr a try.

Clean Win2000 install, gbpvr 19 install, run and.....I had exactly the same problem.  Thought it was all going pear shaped, but downloaded MDAC 2.8 and it was all fixed.

Excellent project - records, plays and I can hear sound at last! Fantastic
