No DVD option in the main menu

There is no option to play DVDs in the main menu. In the configuration window, under the plugins tab, I have every option checked for Main Manu items. All of them appear in the Main Menu except for DVD. Any ideas on why this would be?

I'm using a Hauppauge 350 card, and I found a post by Sub that said we can't play DVDs out of this card.

Not through the tv-out that is.
