Hello: I am using software recorder V25 on my Kworld PVR-plus capture card. BT878 chipset.
I installed the ATI Avivo Transcoder that is suggested in the readme file of Ver 25
Recording works fine, and timeshifting work as well.
Is there a way to adjust the compression settings in the ATI transcoder, maybe from an external program?
I would like to save in VCD format with 48KHZ audio if I could.
If I can do that, I can then save multiple VCD movies on one DVD disc.
Right now the ATI transcoder saves in mpg2 format and 44 khz audio. This is not a standard DVD format, nor is it an mpg1 VCD format, so I am forced to do a second transcoding using another program. (Svcd2mpg)
I realize this is not a Software Recorder problem, but I was hoping somebody could give me some advice.
I read all the posts in the software recorder sticky, and somebody was saying they could access all of the compression settings in the ATI transcoder, but they did not say how. After 100 pages of posts, I was going blind and thought it better to ask the question here.
Thank you very much.
