Hi all,
Theoritcally I should be able to record one show, and watch t.v. at the same time with dual tuners, right?
(system specs in sig)

O.k., I have the PVR 500 MCE, and need to know how to set it up.

1. Can I do this w/out a remote, and only use wireless keyboard ?
2. Do I need a device (PC IR blasters ) to communicate with my stb Dish Network?
3. Do my input from my STB into my pvr 500 have to be coaxial ? I am guess I split the coaxial out (from stb) into 2 feeds that go into my pvr 500, right?

Thanks in advance!

can GBPVR communicate w/ STB satellite receiver and record right channel w/out IR blaster/device ?

trying to figure out what hardware i would need to buy w/. my setup. I can currently only record channel the t.v. is tuned to Sad

thanks.

Yes, something like a USB-UIRT or MCE IR blaster should do the job.

I'm bit confused exactly what you're trying to do. Do you have more than one STB? The Dish STB will only ever be outputting the current channel, so with one STB, you'll only be able to utilize one tuner on the PVR500. You can connect it via coax or composite or svideo. Of these, svideo will give you the best picture.

No, I don't

O.k., so I can not watch DISH Network (STB) t.v. while recording DISH Network t.v. , I would need another DISH Network (STB) for this, right ?

Thanks for the info, I guess I could still watch over the air t.v. with my other tuner, otherwise I won't even be utilizing my other tuner Sad

Correct (unless they are the same channel).

Correct, but you'd need to be connected to your dish box via composite or svideo, since the one coax connection will be used by the antenna. On this device the one coax connect feeds both tuners. The other connector is actually for an FM Radio antenna.
