Nothing happens when i click start GB-PVR

After i installed 0.97.7 nothing happens when I click "start GB-PVR" in the tray icon. I had the same problem with 0.96.12 but suddenly it worked. But after upgrade to 0.97.7. What can be wrong? I have updated quartz.dll and .net and installed the latest ati driver x800 pro but no result. It does something when i click but nothing appears.

Does it start when you run it from the start menu?

When I boot the PC the tray icon is there and I can run the config. But when i want to use it and click start GB-PVR nothing happens. When I look in the taskmanager I can see that GBPVRRecordingService.exe and GBPVRTray.exe is there.

After trying everything almost. I turned of the "Use direct access to Happauge remote" And now it launches. So problem is solved

Just in case anyone else has this issue; I had the same problem. I screwed up the XML in the skin I was using. GBPVR didn't throw an error, but I found it in a text log. Launching config & switching back to the default skin fixed it - then I made repairs to the skin that I was working on.

I've always had to delete and recreate my quicklaunch shortcut after every install

I also had to delete & recreate my quicklaunch shortcut after an upgrade. I wonder if the installer could take care of this. I don't remember having this problem with upgrading other applications.
