This is such a basic question, I'm sure the answer is here already, but I can't seem to find it. How do I make LiveTV start in TimeShift mode by default? IE: I don't want to his "pause" and see "Starting timeshift..." I want timeshift to begin the instant that I hit "LiveTV" or select a show from the guide.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

I think you deslect 'use preview if available' on the config menu (I might be wrong, or it might be called something slightly different, I'm not infront of my GBPVR at the moment to check...)

Yeah, what he said. Disable the 'use life preview mode if possible' setting.

Hi, I'm new, sure mostly like this app!:
On this Live Preview subject, I'm not clear of just how much it will "auto record". I have a PVR350 card so I have no option to use Live Preview mode and prevent recording which I really dont want it doing during my & the family TV viewing. Does it really just keep creating recording MPG files that I then must delete now and then for harddrive maintenance?
I know the familys going to turn off the TV leaving GB-PVR on all night in record mode which seems wasteful..
Also, this slows the channel changing too much :~(

On the subject of PVR350, it does not appear my 34 button remote cannot Launch the GB-PVR app, can only launch WinTV2000? (A much inferior App compared to awesome GB-PVR).

Thanks folks!

It'll automatically delete the file a couple of minutes after it finishes playing, so not something you need to worry about manually doing.

In book you're better off not using the PVR350 tv out so you can use features like live preview mode.

open c:\windows\irremote.ini with notepad and have a look through it. This file contains all the key mappings for all the available Hauppauge remotes for each registered application. With a bit of detective work you should be able to work out how to configure your remote to do all sorts of interesting things........
