96.12 not calling HIPsend, STB not changing

Hi. I'm recently having a problem with GB-PVR not changing the channels on my STB for recording...

It was all working quite well. I want to know which log would show, at what time, Hipsend is called... (to confirm the attempt)

I have:
GB-PVR 96.12
2x PVR 150 OEM
1 pvr150 analog Cable in (coax)
1 PVR Direct from STB, (s-video)

Hip is configured, Hipsend correctly sends info to Hip to IR blaster to change channels on STB...

Works when I change channels in TV Guide and Live TV

Only misses channel changes at scheduled recordings.

I have been playing with 97.7 installations, but I swear I backed everything up. It does not seem that GB-PVR is acting up any other way...

I will be doing a fresh install of GB-PVR 96.12, Hip, and plugins, utilities, batch files soon anyway, (to verify some installation docs I'm working on)

Just wanted to know if there was something obviously out of place

The STB did not change. I noticed this and ran a qucik batch file that sends the very same command that GB-PVR should be sending. It changed the channel. I diod not do any other resets or anything...

And yet Live TV and TV guide can control the channel Change?

The WindowsClassName changed in v0.97.7 from
WindowsForms10.Window.8.app4
to
WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d

Which will upset HIP if you have it specified there. Since the Class name will change with each release from now on ('Feature' of .Net 2.0) try leaving the class name off your HIP settings, i.e. just use the 'display' name or GB-PVR

That wont affect HIPsend.

BTW I found out that the problem was I had to stop the recording service from interacting with desktop, for MVP.

I suspect that would be the same with 97.7.

If that's the case, where Hip needs to interact with desktop, but an MVP server window will keep popping up, what would you suggest?

I found out why HIP stopped working. It's because I had to change the service to stop interacting with desktop...MediaMVP Server window dialog box

You'll have to ask the author of HIPsend to modify the app so that it can work from different desktop sessions.
