GBpvr recording service keeps stopping

Hi

I have recently upgraded to the latest GBpvr and Enhanced WebAdmin. All was going fine until the weekend.

On the weekend i noticed that my server (where GBpvr is) was maxing out the processor. The process in question was DW20.exe (MS debugging tool).

DW20.exe was making a report of GBpvrrecordingservice (must have crashed previuosly) and kept making the service stop. I stopped the debugging tool through control panel and now the service keeps stopping intermitently.
There is nothing in the system or application logs apart from the service unexpectingly stopping and starting again.

(I have a schedule thats runs every 15mins to start the service now)

Has anyone else seen this since the upgrade?

I can post logs if nessecary.

Do you run any plugins, you could start with disabling plugins and (if it helps) then one by one add them again.

I had issues with Video Archiver....I belive it is using an older version of the common GBVPR utilities.....after uninstalliing that plugin I have not had any errors.

i don't have any plugins running on my machine.
My machine records TV that I schedule via the web interface only.
I play it back through the TV by streaming it from that box, via my Kiss DP500

I have been playing around with another theme, and I'm thinking could the style.css file (if it had errors) kill the service?

My recording service is also crashing frequently when I use EWA, often when simply navigating.

I haven't yet been able to match an error up to a specific hang as it currently does not want to repro (typical) but I did find this in

Can you reproduce the error with the logging level set to Debug then repost the logs?

i'll try to get it to crash again.....

in the meantime the i chnaged a setting in the Config file, once I've OK'd this it trys to restart the service. An error occiurs here...

ok, I got a repro of my crash. Oddly, I couldn't make it crash at home but when using EWA across the net, it crashed fairly quickly.

I scheduled a recording of Bullet in the Head (a romantic tale of lost innocence...) which worked and then attempted to record Jurasic Park, which failed as the service had died. Not sure the log info reveals much but here it it. I'll keep trying.

I have now managed to crash the recording service 3 times within the hour (odd that it repros from work but not when I am at home. The connection is fine as I also have vnc running continously in a broswer window)

This crash occurred when I clicked right arrow in EWA.
