HI All, after much dismay and constant problems with XMLTV and the automate, I have switched over to Zap2It for GBPVR. I've got everything up and running just fine , and it shows my listings for Pacific Standard Time ( which is the last option in the selection for time zones ). However, my listings in my TV GUIDE are now showing 1 hour ahead of the actual time that they air. I would just switch to the next time zone up to accommodate for this but Pacific Standard Time is the last choice in the time zone list. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this matter/ issue when using the Zap2It listings?

Make sure you chose the right time zone when you signed up and configured your channel listings on Zap2it Labs. You shouldn't be having this issue. Also make sure your PC time is in the correct zone and set for Daylight Savings Time. And make sure you chose -7 Mountain Standard or Pacific Daylight in GB-PVR Zap2it settings.

I just switched to the zap2it listings also. My XMLTV just stopped working a week ago (for no reason) and I've been unable to resolve it, so I gave up.

I agree with gplasky, be sure your timezone is setup properly for the zap2it listings and your computer is also on the proper timezone. My timezone is setup properly and my shows are listed on the proper hours they should be.

I just double checked everything. My computer is set to PST, and my Zap2It settings in GBPVR are set to PST as well ( the last setting ). I even went to the Zap2It website and logged in to make sure my settings were correct there as well. I cleared my EPG and updated my listings again. Still the same issues occur..........for example: CBS News at 4pm is set for 3pm. It's almost as if even though I select -0800 pacific standard in the settings for Zap2It in GBPVR config, that its not registering it and only selecting the item above it, -0700 Mountain Standard or Pacific Daylight. Hence the reason being my shows are off by one hour. But my problems still exist. Anybody have any ideas on this? I'm using GBPVR version 0.18e

First off you're not running the latest GBPVR (18e was very buggy you should get 18l) second off, why are you selecting -8? You should be selecting -7, as you should be in Pacific Daylight, correct?

Ok later on this afternoon I'll download .018L and give it a shot. But, I am located in Pacific Standard Time, not Pacific Daylight. But just for the record, I even tried deleting my EPG and downloading Pacific Daylight, just to have some different information to over write. And when I did install Pacific Standard Time I still came out with the same result.

Being as we're currently observing daylight savings time (here on the east cost anyway!Wink my guess is pacific daylight is the proper selection.

Hello,
I am having the same problems with the wrong time as the previous guy. I got this version gbpvr v0.19.3. I live in St. Louis, MO. so I set the time zone on my computer and gbpvr setting to -0600 Central Standard or Mountain Daylight. But I'm still having problems. Does it have something to with this version of gbpvr? Thanks in advance.

What State are you in on the west coast that does not follow Daylight savings? I was under the impression they all did, well certainly down as far as California which would put you in PDT timezone.

Are you getting your EPG information from zap2it.com? Has this been setup with the correct timezone information so that GBPVR, computer and zap2it are all in sync?

Cheers,

Yes, I got my EPG info from zap2it.com. In zap2it.com, I specified my zipcode and loaded the lineup. Then in my computer, I made sure in the gbpvr config, I set my setting to that -0600 Central option. I also double check my computer time zone was also set to GMT -0600 Central time. Updated the listing in the gbpvr config.

But I would go into the gbpvr program and it still shows the time and the tv shows off by an hour. I can still record the shows, but it's the shows that is currently on, not what the TV schedule on gbpvr says.
