Hi,

I still can't get the above combination to control my Sky Digibox either with GB-PVR's built in MCE support, which Sub admits he hasn't done a lot of work on, or with HIP and HIPSend.

Everything else in my GB-PVR setup works fine, except for this crucial element. So 'Watching' and 'Scheduling' recordings just doesn't work. I have managed to get some digits to the Sky Digibox using HIP's CCF import but never a complete set. So it must be at an 'almost there' stage.

I'd love to know if anyone has managed to get the combination to work. One HIP forum member announced that he had effectively cracked it some months ago, but is now untraceable, and he hasn't made his solution available.

It would also be useful to know if others just haven't managed to get the combo working. With the huge popularity of Sky in the UK and Europe, there must be other users out there trying to get it up and running with GB-PVR.

You could try this if you can not get the ir blaster to work.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I was aware of other solutions like RedRat and the Heenan control unit. The thing is I've already invested in the MCE Remote with it's IR Blasters, and I don't want to have to duplicate that expenditure just to get the IR blasters working. Also the GB-PVR and HIP solution seem to be almost there, and I was hoping someone had taken things to a successful solution.

I do also have the smaller Hauppauge remote control, but as far as I'm aware there's no way to get that to change channels on the Sky Digibox using GB-PVR or HIPsend.

If anyone knows otherwise I'd love to hear about it.

And Jase, if I understood you correctly, you responded in the HIP forum that you had solved the issue by adjusting the timings in HIPSend. If that is the case would you be willing to let us know here what the successful timings are?

Thanks .

The timings are just a trial an error thing, i forget what worked best for me as i dont use the feature anymore. Just try different ones until it works best for you, i dont think it will ever be 100% reliable as the mce ir blasters are a bit flakey at the best of times.
