i just got a haupage pvr-150 and originally used the demo of sagetv until it expired. i loved that program but currently dont have 50 bucks to plop down on a program like that.

now im using gbpvr, or more accurately, trying to use it.

i downloaded the tvguide, but i must have set it up wrong.

-i cannot watch live tv. when i click a program, it freezes and when i look in task manager it takes a HUGE ammount of memory usage.
-when i record a program it ends up with a file size of 0 byes and wont play back. even when ive left the program up and running (the program itself goes into a hibernate or sorts, maybe thats the problem.)
-when i try to close the window, it freezes too.

so all and all, i have the program, but dont know how to use it. can anybody provide any help with my failures?

Tons of info in the wiki, and you can search the forums for answers to your problems.

What EPG are you using? If its zap2it, did you use the "code" on the epg setup in the config to make your account?

Also, could you zip and attatch all the *.log files in the C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\ folder? I know I won't be much help reading/deciphering the logs, but there are a ton of people on here that can look at those and get you pointed in the right direction.

there is a new release pending (so said Sub) with all the fixes/patches for the bugs in the current release... you can either await that release or go thru the forum (start in the survival guide) ...

Reproduce your problems and post the logs and I'll take a look. Do them one at a time, and posting the logs for each. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it pretty quickly.

here is a log i believe.

i just started the program, went to tv guide and clicked a random show, and nothing else happened - it just froze. so i hit ctrl+alt+del and it was using an insane ammount of memory.

thanks for looking at this guys.

I can see one error in your logs, relating to a missing filter. Can you try running the included ReRegisterFilters.bat file, then try again? If its still not working, post you logs again.
