I have a much better computer collecting dust doing nothing.
If I wanted to put my tuners in it and make it my GBPVR box, what needs to be done??

after I swap the tuners/decoder card and deal with those drivers and load on GBPVR, is it as easy as putting the config.xml and gbpvr.db3 onto a usb drive and walking them over??

if that is it, then I just need to figure out where the rectracker records are held.

asking now because tommorrow only 1 show scheduled, and I dont mind if I miss it.

okay, thinking about it more.
would it be easier to just load GBPVR from the installer, then just copy the entire GBPVR folder to replace what gets loaded automatically??

would that keep my plugins going??

Agidius,

That is what I did when I had to swap computers. If you have any recordings that you wish to save, you must make sure that the drive letters and the paths to the recordings drive are identical, otherwise GBPVR will scan all of the recordings to see if the file exists, and then remove the entry if the file is not there.

Stupid question time (you just never know), you will be loading the same version on the new computer that is on the old computer right? I ask as some people have tried to install a newer version on the new computer, then copy over the config and db info, doesn't work very well. If it is the same version, then the copying of the folder structure is the easiest way to do it once you install from the installer.
