I've been messing around with this for a few hours now and I was just wondering what you guys thought.

Main Menu:

TV Guide:

Recordings:

It still needs a lot of work, the background is just to show the transparency. A simpler background would look better. I still need to fill up the empty spot in the main menu and tweek a lot of things.

I'm going for large/usefull readable text and maximizing screen usage but yet still allow for personality (with the transparency).

Any opionions are welcome (good/bad).

Thanks,

Tony

I like this. Has a very uncluttered look to it, very useful on smaller TVs!

Even on my 36" TV a lot of the text on other themes is too small. Maybe it because I'm using an MVP.

Here's another shot: (I'm addicted)

Who knows. I am waiting on the new skinning standards you guys are hashing out before going much further.

Care to add your $.02 then? The more input from others will help.

Thanks for your comments. Smile

I was wondering that also, what new standards? Am I going to have to learn to skin all over again?

Thanks,

Tony

No, nothing new in how you skin really. There will be some changes in how the baseskin.xml file can be used. The same old way can still be used, but the baseskin.xml improvements will give more controls from one file to other plugins if desired.

The other thing being kicked around is maybe coming up with standardized names for images (for skins that use them instead of xml DrawRoundedRect codes, or a combination of both). That way there is more harmony in how skins are constructed.

So far though there isn't much feedback from anyone (see cleanup BlueMCE2 thread for latest blah blah blah).
