I thought I would post a pic of my community skin 'look' - I'd be interested to see others share theirs, especially, any customisations...

WOW, that looks really good. Nice house too Smile

When you got a minute could you email your _commonimages, main menu and tv guide folders over for possible inclusion in the new version of the SkinPlugin?

Thanks guys! I'd still be interested in seeing some mods that others have done with the community skin (which is a great plugin btw).

McBainUK, I'll send them to you; probably be later in the week (the new baby is due tomorrow!)

The tv is a 42" Panasonic plasma, with a sony HT receiver. I think it's 200W but I'm not sure. I can blast Arctic Monkeys through it and annoy the neighbours though, so that's what counts Smile

It's hooked up to a wired MVP; it's sitting on top of the DVD player next to a d-link video conferencing gizmo. The camera is nothing special, a cheapo canon. fine for snaps, but you can see the fisheye distortion in the pic of the tv caused by the cheap optics.

The cabling is all in the walls. The speakers have terminal plates at the bottom (so I can move the amp around, upgrade speakers etc., if I want without fishing all the cable again). for the tv, I pulled a bunch of cables as thick as my forearm through the wall. There are two holes, each about 3"x5", one behind the tv, and one directly below it behind the tv stand.
My tip: Buy extra cables and use every input on your tv, then pull the cables through. For example, I have an s-video input on the back of the telly that doesn't have anything hooked up to it, but I pulled an s-video cable through and hooked it up anyway and just left it. If I ever have to hook something up in the future that wasn't planned for, I've got the cable without having to take it all down and try and pull a single cable through. Wink

I have a 42" LCD myself but its always been my thought that content is king. It's the software that drives the hardware. Here are my pics of the community skin

There's no way I'm posting any pics of my lounge after your effort, goover_km!! We're renting with and I have tried to keep the cables tidy but with all the crap I have behind the TV cabinet, it's not a pretty sight - something I'll have to fix soon though (I've got a month old daughter).
I do have a nice view behind the telly though, overlooking the ocean...
