Hi

After the update I can no longer scan DVB-T channels on my Pinnacle 300i. I get a picture in the preview window, but the scan ends with no channels found.

I have tried to set BDAUsePsiParser to both true and false. In previous versions I have set it to false to scan the pinnacle 300i board and to true for my HVR-1300.

Is there any more settings in config.xml that I can set, or should I reinstall 97 dot something so I can scan the channels?

BDAUsePsiParser needs to be set to true or you will definitely not get any channel scan result. Older methods of scanning which have been disabled by default for the last year or so have finally been removed from the code. These old methods were not capable of finding much of the information GB-PVR needs about the channels (finding Teletext and DVB Subtitle PIDs etc, automapping PID based on service ID, EPG information etc)

If you reproduce a scan, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log, then I'll take a look.

Hi

I have set BDAUsePsiParser to true and rescanned both cards. When I scan the HVR-1300 the preview window is updated, but for the Pinnacle board it remains black during the scan, but the strength and quality values is updated with values similar to scans with 97.*.

Can you see if this patch helps? If not, please post the logs again.

Thanks for the quick response. I tried the new config, but as far as I can see it looks the same. Still no channels. Logs are enclosed. This time it,s only a 300i scan.

Can you try temporarily adding the following registry setting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2 (DWORD)

Then do a scan. This will result in a c:\psi.log file being created. Zip and attach this file.

Can you try temporarily adding the following registry setting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\devnz\DumpPSIPackets=1 (DWORD)

Then do a scan. The complication is that this time c:\psi.bin file will deleted and recreated each time the scanner tries to scan another frequency. I need to you to try to grab at least one of those files that is not zero bytes long. (either by copying the file during the scan, or by stopping the scan at the right time)

If it seems too hard to do this, you could increase the <BDAPsiScanStartupSeconds> seconds setting in config.xml, which will slow down the speed of the scan, in effect leaving it on each frequency for longer.

Here is my psi.bin files. If I timed it right one should be Swedish national TV and one should be Danish national TV. But when I looked at them in HexEdit I'm not so sure.

Sorry, I have had a really good look at this over the last couple of days, but I cant tell why this is happening for you. It looks like it only receives partial transport stream packets from your device.

Is there updated Pinnacle drivers you can try?
