I havent noticed anyone else with this problem, but i seem to have suffered this since 97.9.

Sometimes (about half the time) i skip or FF the file actually goes backwards! Theres never anything in the logs to explain this and i dont know where i should be looking to explain this?

I have 98.8b, no plugins, and use 3 Nova-T's with the 34 button remote plugged into one, and 'direct access to Haup remote' enabled.

Lately i have also seen the weirdest of issues, instead of skipping backwards, the file freezes, and the 'WAV' volume in the sound panel in windows is reduced to zero. Again, i dont know where to look for the problem?

Any ideas what might cause this and what i could try changing?

According to the thread below, direct access should only work with the 250/350...

that might account for some weird behaviour!! thanks

I'll start running the haup IR software and see if that helps.

I'll let you know, cheers

sorry to say it, but ive tried both the haup IR app and the USB-UIRT, with both 34 and 45 button remotes and when i FF the WAV volume drops to zero still.

I have seen the skip back when skipping forward on 98.8. I am trying to get a handle on it too. I do notice though that when this happens and I hit the blue button to display the timeline that the current position time (on the left) is not incrementing and it shows a time past where I have viewed. I suspect the database is being accessed at this point because I also get a 'database is locked' when I try to exit and watch the video again. When I get more details to where it's repeatable I'll post more. This is not the timeline/ driver problem.

Skip seems to jump forward for me. If you can give me a some more info to narrow down the cause, let me know and I'll take a look.

Are these recordings that are in progress, or also recordings that have already completed?

I'd be interested to see some logs that show this, and ideally some details giving steps to reproduce it.

You can see from the bits I've highlighted, it actually goes back - I find it tends not to be 60 seconds either, it's more like 5-10ish. To reproduce, just play a recorded file (in my case). It seems to work early on in the file (to skip the padding at the start), but by the time I get to adverts, pressing fwd goes back! I've not got any commercial detection or anything in so I don't think it's that.

I had assumed it was MVP related and was going to have a play, but if otheres are having problems I guess not!

Are you guys all talking about MVPs? I can easily imagine it happening on an MVP.

MVPs would be a very different problem than seeing it on a PC.
