Today when I went to start GBPVR I started getting .NET errors that have never occured before. I reinstalled both .NET 2.0 and GBPVR 0.98. I still am getting the errors...

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Have you changed the version of Windows Media Player installed on your machine?

I'm not really sure. You could try downloading depends.exe from http://www.dependencywalker.com, and try opening NativeUtilities.dll to see what dependency it says is missing.

It sounds like something is broken in your .NET 2.0 install. Maybe try reinstalling it.

SImilar problem here as others seem to be getting, GBPVR been running fine for weeks, then *today* unexpected .NET2.0 errors, also error Item already added "Key in dictionary '292'".

Also when it does boot TVGUIDE crashes everything

Nothing has changed from my side, maybe DVB EPG update causing error? Any ideas?

***UPDATE*** Must have been something updated into the EPG via DVB last night, as I Emptied the EPG through the config program and its all working fine again. Can we stop this happening again?

Here is what I have done since last night...

Uninstalled GBPVR, .NET2.0 and .NET1.1 for good measure. Went through Windows Update, redownloaded and reinstalled .NET1.1 and .NET2.0 with all updates. Reinstalled GBPVR 0.98, and I got the same error as before. Went back to GBPVR 0.97 just to see what would happen, and the same thing occured. I'm about this close to just reformating, but I would like to get it working without that. I'm gonna try uninstalling everything including the remote and TV card and starting fresh, but I am less than hopefull that it will work.

Personally, I'd take a close look at that file identified by depends.exe.

I noticed that there was a patch for .NET 2 a couple of days ago. I installed it but interestingly didn't have to reboot. Now, I'm wondering if that patch caused your problems and that I might see these as well once I reboot. Hopefully my drive images don't have this patch if it indeed is a problem.
