Hi all,
I am having issues playing .h264 encoded video on the secondary display of the built in chip on my Nividia 6150 based motherboard and the real kicker is that the primary display works fine.

I have tried two different codecs, ffdshow and the coreavc codec. With ffdshow installed nothing works and with the coreavc codec only the primary monitor works? Any ideas?

On a side note, I recently had to upgrade my motherboard (old one died). Prior to the upgrade I was running an nvidia 6800 video card with ffdshow as a codec and everything worked fine (mp4, divx, xvid, h264, etc). could this be an issue with the built-in video on the 6150 board? If so, what video card do you suggest?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi all,
I found out that there is an issue with the coreavc on secondary displays. So that explains that. Does anyone have an idea as to why ffdshow fails? Could this be a hardware related problem? Also, are there any suggested h264 codecs out there?

Thanks,

dave

try playing with output overlay etc. in ffdshow..that's probably why no display on secondary monitor.. [on output tab in ffshow config]
colorspaces also may be the problem...
also maybe number of instances of ffdshow runable...[it may also be trying to decode audio so needs to have 2 instances to do video also]
just a thought..
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie
