Hello,
I've been having occasional crashes (1-2 weeks between crashes) bring reported by Windows Crash reporting (GBPVR had a problem, Would you like to send Error report to Microsoft).

I can't figure out what is going on because I still see the GBPVR icon in the system tray and the recording service is running (maybe they crashed and restarted?). I'm always scared of a problem after this, so I always restart my computer after this happens.

Here are the logs, one right after I saw the error window, and then the others as I shut down GBPVR so I could zip all of the logs..

Any ideas if this is really a crash or not? Should I just ignoring the crash messages?

You're having problem because of some database lock. Its hard to tell exactly why, because your logging level is set to 'error' instead of the default 'debug'.

I'm fairly sure it'll be related to the one problem I'm aware of that can cause this. This error occurs if you've got GB-PVR set to auto convert files to another format (divx/xvid etc), but manually delete a recording before this conversion can take place. This problem is corrected for the next release.

If you temporarily set the conversions to none, then ok out of the config app to restart the recording service, then it'll clear the conversion queue. After that you can reenable it if you need to, but just be careful with deleting recordings (do it the next day), or leave conversions disabled for now.

Thank-you tipstir and sub

In the event log it says this:
EventType clr20r3, P1 gbpvr.exe, P2 1.0.2483.34961, P3 d, P4 mscorlib, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4333ab80, P7 32f8, P8 21c, P9 system.io.ioexception, P10 NIL.
but I think sub must have it right, I've been trying to auto-convert from dvr-ms to mpg, and it hasn't been working anyway...

I'll just disable the auto-conversion for now, and try again after the next release.

Thank-you again
