hmmm,i think there's a dialog or something missing even in blue skin, cuz when i try to record while watching livetv, dialog comes up and lets me select record till end of show, and if there's a conflict with an existing recording and i hit ok, it exits back to main menu with an error , and no recording is ever scheduled,no conflict dialog comes up...tried with couple skins and even blue but all same...

also, the problem i mentioned earlier about the 'reminders' showing over livetv, eg. the dialog whole menu screen as background, then flashing back to video, then flashing the dialog over main menu again,etc...
i'm using overlay if that's the reason..
have been waiting for that feature for long time and really hope to get it working better..
should it be in the list as a 'video plugin'?
i assumed it would be like the osd, popping up transparently over the video like a video plugin..Smile
the logs illustrate the record from livetv with conflict problem...not sure the other problem would be visible in logs tho..
any settings that would affect the transparency of the dialog like that?

oh and, the little umm, recording indicator at the top of the guide,[i think TimelineStatus] doesn't always show up above the recording, i believe if the recording ends past the currently viewed schedule...i would love it to show up even if the beginning of the show is in viewable range, cuz sometimes the recordings blindside ya at the last minute, appearing out of nowhere...

Its supposed to popup as video plugin, and was doing this, but I think I broke it at the the last minute before the release when attempting to make a small improvement to the reminder window you get when not playing video. I've fixed i for the next release.

Can you give me a more concrete example? I've just double checked here with start and/or end of a recording being outside of the viewable guide, and it showed the timeline status correctly for me.

cool, yea, hard to catch the little 'watch' button before it goes away...Smile

i'll have to grab a pic to show you the timeline problem...

oh, and what about the livetv 'record till end' while conflict is present?
bombs me out everytime...[and drops timeshift buffer too]

thanx bunches...i try to answer more than i ask..Big Grin

here's a couple pics to illustrate the problem..
that's my skin but it does exactly same in blue skin...
i noted a bit over overlap here but it usually isn't the case so i doubt that's what's causing it...
anything you need like the guide data?

So whats the steps to reproduce the problem? If I can reproduce it, then I can fix it.

On an unrelated note, are those channel icons a plug-in, and is it hard to configure?

i got the channel icons to download once with something off the wiki...
easy, just have to rename the files correctly..

not sure how to reproduce it...it just happens..Smile
hmm, maybe have something to do with the turnover at midnight?
or the overlap of another show by less than allowed variance?
not sure what makes it happen...tho usually only on reoccurring scheduleds..
pretty sure it's something to do with conflict management tho..
like enough error not to be normal, but not enough to make it that other color up there?
