I'm trying to get GB-PVR up and running on my computer. It installs okay. I can access the configuration utility okay. But each time I try to launch the program itself, it crashes before it ever really starts. I get a windows error saying the program must be closed and asking me to send information to MS regarding the error.

File logs are attached.

I am running MCE 05 on a 3.0 Ghtz P4 with 1 GB ram, Nvidia 5700LE video card and SB Audigy SE sound card.

I have disabled MCE services. I do have Beyond TV and Sage TV trials installed.

Can you help? Thanks.

Edit: Forgot my TV Tuner cards: ATI TV Wonder 550 and VBox Cats Eye 150.

I think you've configured it to use a USB-UIRT remote, but dont have a USB-UIRT attached to your machine.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I do have an older ATI Remote Wonder installed. It is hooked up to a usb port. It works pretty good with MCE.

Should I try to use this with GB-PVR?

Should I uninstall that software?

Thanks again.

Thats not a USB-UIRT though. A USB-UIRT is a specific device that some poeple buy. Its not a generic name for USB IR receivers.

If you do a forum search for "ATI Remote Wonder" you'll find a few threads that discuss whats needed to get this remote working.

I changed the usb remote setting to default (Hauppauge) and that fixed it.

Thank you again.
