Just re-did my HTPC to go from GBPVR 0.90.10 (2004) to latest 0.99.50 (2007) Smile
As Borat would have said: Great Success.

I re-installed everything (WinXP, SP2, NET 2, PVR250 drivers, ATI codecs, Audio driver, Girder 3.3, USB-UIRT drivers, config files).

Works great, but was a lot of settings and installations and messing around.

I wish if there was a Master Installer, I am sure more people would use HTPC more.
The way it is, you really need to know exactly what are u doing, otherwise it is trouble land.

Anyway, will try to see what is new (YouTube looks good Smile ) and hopefully no new problems.

I dont really know what you're saying here. I think its pretty easy to setup GB-PVR. You use some specific things like Girder and USB-UIRT which arent commonly used, so I dont know if that is what it made it seem so difficult for you.

Anyway, congratulations on getting it up and running.

I know, It is not GB-PVR (GBPVR was easy to install as 1-2-3).

Yeah, I meant making the whole system (mine) work.

I have my machine in the basement (to eliminate noise), and connections going to the TV in the family room, and using ONE remote to control EVERYTHING from my audio receivers, to my DVD players ...etc. and at the same time use my HTPC ...etc., so obviously I need to have Girder ...etc., which complicate things.

Also there are a few system (windows and drivers) issues that need to be resolved first (like MPEG codec: mine needs to come from ATI website with CD verification, which always making upgrades a pain).

What I meant is "I MYSELF" need to develop an installation utility that install all this and sets it up correctly (not you obviously Smile )

Thanks a lot for the wonderful front end GBPVR, and hopefully I can see what other plugins I can use Smile
