Last time I tried getting the HTPC system up I was into Girder, USB-UIRT and all that crap. I also managed to really create a useful script in girder. But that was four years ago and I realized yesterday that I really don't have the interest nor the time to walk that line again. I mean, HIP might be easier than Girder, but it's still not a walk in the park.

So I'm asking for some guidance here:

Our public service radio serves us a streaming radio that unfortunately isn't in shoutcast format, but som DRM media opening up either real player or windows mediaplayer embedded in a webpage.

You can see it yourself here: http://www.sr.se/webbradio/webbradio_fal...sp?namn=p1

In the best of world I would have a plugin that simply embedded the necessary HTML into an ordinary GB-PVR screen.

The second best would be "something" (this is where you kicks in) that opens the webpage on top of the GB-PVR screen and allows the remote control to control the interface. (The control thing is not extremely necessary if only it's possible to close the windows and get back to GB-PVR).

Has anyone managed to do this?

Bloody marvelous
Thanks a lot for this tip!
It does exactly what I want, even my fav channel was available.

The only thing now is to find out how I can stop VLC and get back to GB-PVR, I guess some doc reading is appropriate now.

If you're using a Hauppauge remote it's fairly easy. Add entries for managing VLC in your IRREMOTE.INI file. On top of that map a button (I used to Menu) to bring up the task list outside of GB-PVR. Pressing the menu button outside of GB-PVR brings up the task list and allows you to select GB-PVR from the list to make it active.

Search for "task" in IRREMOTE.INI to see how the task manager is specified. If you need some help, post back. I'm at work right now so don't have the exact command handy.

Well, I'm not using an haupauge remote but a USB-UIRT device. I have my Harmony remote configured as an MCE remote and have teached gb-pvr my buttons manually.

In addition to this I'm prepared to use HIP and/or Girder but I certainly need som help configuring everything.

There is no irremote.ini in my gb-pvr directory.

Thanks for helping me out!

The irremote.ini file is located in your Windows directory, but AFAIK this is only used for the hauppauge IR receiver.

But, this really seams odd. I mean, who develops a plugin that jumps out of GB-PVR without taking into account that the user might want to get back?
