99.12 custom renderer problems

First the good news: My live TV works without briefly freezing every second or so (thanks, Sub)

Now the bad news: VRM9 custom on my system is behaving very differently - and not in a good way. The OSD has disappeared, and both automatic and manual (F7) aspect adjustment doesn't work anymore. Is this expected behaviour (I understand that the custom renderer was re-written) or should it be behaving like it used to?

One of my pre-release testers also had problems with the new implementation of VRM9 custom, but I wasnt able to work out why. If you post the logs though, I'll see if I can find a cause.

I also had a problem with the VMR9 Custom... If I was watching Live TV, pressing the Guide button wouldn't bring up the guide. It would bring up the menu. And whenever I tried to go to the TV Guide from the menu, it would just go back to Live TV. It was very strange.

I just switched to VMR9, so I don't have any logs of it. But I thought I would share the problems I faced with VMR9 Custom.

The plot thickens. If I switch to windowed mode under VMR9 Custom it works (aspect ratios, OSD) like a dream.

Any news on this? It's still happening for me. I don't really want to go back to .99.5 :-(

I havnt looked into it yet. I'll try to take a look later today.

It only seems to be affecting a limited number of users, but I know it'd be frustrating if you were one of those.

Can you try this. Go into the DirectX control panel, and switch to the "retail" version to the "debug" version, and set the logging level to the highest. Next download and run DebugView from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinte...ities.mspx.

When you run GB-PVR does it produce output in debug view? If so, can you save it to disk, then zip and attach it?
