Hi all Smile

I just reinstalled my computer and trying to fix this to see some TV when browsing Tongue
but nope. Everything seems fine, the install, Config, Tuning & Config of that
I was about to try just one channel, but the GBPVR.exe wont even start.
I see that its trying to load plugins and after that is just quits, some times it even crash.
This time I didnt bother about the bkup files, thought that I could do the setup of channels again no problem, but I've tried the old configs too but no luck.

Using Hauppauge PVR 500(2 tuners)

anyone got an idea?

I'm supposed to record tonight too... off course it wont work then :p

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

do you have any plugins in the plugins folder?
If so, try removing them...

Looks like there's an error loading some values from the config.xml file.
Try using a brand new config.xml and see if that helps.

Also, seems to have an error connecting to the recording service.
Is the service running on your machine?

Sorry for the multiple posts...
Looking at your logs a little more it looks like there's an error coming from GBPVR.Backend.Common.dll
I would almost recommend a totally fresh install using the latest GBPVR install

It was a new install, but the two previous upgrades worked fine :p
i removed it again and tried, same thing
tried the first version i installed(0.97.13) and that didnt work either.

Ive been sitting here wondering whats differnet with this install
and figured out that I now DO NOT have 'XP MCE' just 'XP PRO' and I read somehwere for the TVcard that the OS requirement is 'XP MCE' but I doubt that.

The other thing is that i do NOT use ATI drivers for my gfx(X850XT-PE) anymore.
Now I use 3rd party: 'OmegaDrivers' just to get the best fps in games :p

Is there other drivers that I my be missing?
Just installed WDM to be sure that ain't it... same thing

I think its something to do with the locale settings on your machine, which must be different to previous install you've had. I'm not sure exactly why though, since I know people are using both english and swedish installs of XP etc without this problem.

I'm guessing you can edit "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\main menu\skin.xml" and search for the couple occurances of "0.7" and replace them with "0,7".

yeah I'll check that
Also I can say that I usually don't set Swedish as default language, since the most installers sees that and uses that language and I do NOT wanna mix Languages,
so I just use US English and modify it so it "looks" like swedish but I think I had that on the other install too, but I maybe changed that AFTER installing.

I'll get back to yah
