Technotrend DVB-C - playing ongoing recorded file

Hi

I think related to the MVP problem was discussing earlier. Got myself a Cyberlink MUX.

Say that a recorded file is infact a .mpg now good start. And playing with live preview on GBPVR client works.

MVP still having issues only with DVB content. Also found when making something a recording rather that live preview even gbpvr doesn't like the file....until it's stopped recording.

Logs attached so me trying to play something of sky 1 then tv2 (PVR500) then sky 1 again on MVP.

Then another set of logs doing pretty much the same thing on the gbpvr client. I can see it loading the mux but can also see another couple of errors in there.


Muxchecker shows the cyberlink mux, not sure what version is recommended..

mpgmux version lists as : 5.0.0.727
I do have a newer one I can try as well - 5.0.0.813

No difference with .813.

Have you tried v5.0.1307? The earlier ones you mentioned above are known to have some problems. Alternatively try the ATI mux.

Does the file play fine on the PC while recording?

No the pc has the problem. Shows live preview fine, but as soon as you hit the record button it stops for a while then kicks you to the main menu with cannot play back file.

I'll have a look for a newer mux.

ummm, I'm confused. Is hitting pause on a live dvb stream the same as watching an ongoing recording??

I hit pause and it switches from live preview to time shift, and this works...but if I go to tv guide hit record on a program then try and play it, "can play file" error.

Maybe - ite depends how quickly you were trying to do it. It takes about 5 seconds for a digital recording to get started vs 2 seconds for analog.
