Hi,

I've been using GB-PVR for a year or so (having switched from dear old ShowShifter) with a Hauppage Nova-T USB2 tuner with some success. I have recently rebuilt my PC and put in 2 Hauppage PCI DVB-T 90002 cards.

System is WinXP Pro SP2 with all updates.
AMD Athlon X2 3800+
2 Gb ram
2 x 250GB SATA disks
ATI Radeo 9250 with 256Mb ram
etc.,etc.

Using GB-PVR 0.99.12

Clean install of everything.

External antenna aerial to one of the cards, loop from one card to the other.

The 2 DVB-T 90002 cards have installed fine using Hauppage WinTV CD 3.4a1

I've successfully scanned for all the Freeview channels I want to use and the picture's fine and recording is okay.

But.... only on one card.

I can't get the 2nd card to scan for channels and be available so that I can watch & record different programs.

I've spent some time working through the forum trying to find answers, but am stuck.

2 Cards show in Config as Card 1.

Any advice is more than welcome. :-)

Thanks

Robin

I think that the 2nd instance of a the card should be device #2

After doing a scan, look for the most recent file in the log folder, seee if there is any info related to scanning and upload the log file if there is. Oh and set logging to debug first in the config.exe

Nothing springs to mind, but zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Its not easy to follow those logs. Can you go into the config app, then view the good capture source, then click the 'map digital channels to epg channels' then click rescan. After that completes, go into the bad capture source and do the same (it'll probably auto scan, so no need to click 'rescan' on this one). When it completes, zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log.

OK.

I've done that and attach the 2 logs.

I've not got the opportunity to test if that's improved things for 30 mins - competition for computer usage! :-)

Thanks, Sub.

All the attempts in that log only show the first device being used. Are you sure you've set the device numbers correctly? If so, and you tried to do a scan on both devices, we should be seeing a line similar to above, but with a "2" at the indicated position.

I know I had an issue with 2 PVR150's where the first 150 on the capture source list needed to be set to device 2, and the second 150 on the capture source list had to be set to device 1. It took me a while to figure this out, and was a matter of trial and error before I got them both working.
You might want to give it a shot if nothing else works...

Well, I've had another look and another go at setting up the cards. So far, I'm pleased to say, it seems to be working correctly. I can certainly record on one channel and view another.

Just got to test out recording on 2 different channels.

Thanks for the help.
