Menu animation not smooth

Good to hear. I've been curious how people with slower machines would get on. I thought that CPU would be too slow, but maybe the videocard is more important to this. I've got a 2GHz machine with Radeon 9250, which animates super smooth, but I wasnt sure how much slower you could go.

I find on this laptop that I've being doing dev on animations are very smooth.

But my "prod" box, an AMD DualCore 3600+ with an ATI X550 PCIe card, the animations look less fluid....

That prod machine should definitely be capable.

Is it on the primary or secondary monitor?

Worth trying to run it with the "-fse" command line parameter as well.

no real difference. Someone had this in beta didn't they, wonder what was common. The ATI card??

Can you reproduce the problem then post the PVRX2.exe.log and PVRX2.exe-native.log?

I have an ATI Radeon X1600 series and it's very smooth. I'm a few driver releases behind though... do you have the latest drivers installed for your card?

I've just upgraded to the 7.6 catalyst because I couldn't get access to the Catalyst control center in advanced mode. Wanted to see what direct3d stuff I had active.

I'll see what effect that has.

Fixed.

Looked pretty similar with normal pvrx2. But PVRx2 -fse now looks really nice.

I played with a few of the direct3d settings on the new driver and set some of them to performance since most were geared towards quality.
