I have been using the GBPVR without a capture card and I have been waiting because I saw the new driver was released and some people had positive responses.

So... Is the 350 worth getting or is the 250 the better choice?

The 350 is only worth going for if you want to use the TV Out on the card or the FM Radio. The Capture functionality is identical on the 350 and 250.

The TV quality using the TV out on the PVR 350 is superior to the TV out on most standard graphics cards and in my opinion it is worth it for this. It depends how you want to set up your system, if you use a PC monitor for output then there is little point in the 350.

There are issues with using the TV out on the 350 and putting you PC into Standby but there has recently been a work around published in these forums that seems to work.

I want to add PVR to my existing PC,  and control and view everything on my TV in a different room. I have no interest in watching TV on the PC monitor.

What I have in mind is a PVR-350 card, GB-PVR software, and possibly a Firefly remote.

Are the GB-PVR menus available via the TV out on the PVR-350? Does the Firefly work with GB?

Yes, the menus etc are all visible via the PVR-350.

I dont own a Firefly, so cant comment there.

If you want to watch the TV in another room, have you considered using an MVP?
