My configuraiton is:
- Windows XP
- Hauppauage 500MCE
- MCE 2005 ver 2a remote control
- HIP

I followed the instructions at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...eyMappings
and used MCE-MCE2005 v2 Remote.hkm

- The channel up/down buttons don't work
- The channel number buttons don't work
- Pause/Skip/Forward/etc dont' work
- The up/down/mute/volume buttons work, but most other buttons don't work
- When i watch an AVI file, there is no way to exit...I have to kill and restart PVR2.exe

Is there a more recent hkm file that someone can point me to
or provide me?

Cheers,
Ignac

Have you downloaded the hip config file from the wiki?

and followed the instructions?

HIP configuration files: Hauppauge Remote, MCE Beanbag, GB-PVR mapping

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...onfigs.zip

Copy these files into HIP directory.
Start HIP, configure, File, Open Configuration, select appropriate config file.
From Remote I/O menu, select Remote Key Map.
Click ‘Open Key Map’ and select appropriate remote control file. Click OK to save.
(either ‘MCE-MCE2005 v2 Remote.hkm’ or ‘MCE-Hauppauge Remote.hkm’)
To save configuration, Click File menu and ‘Save Configuration’…

If so I would say theres something wrong with your remote driver, have a look in device manager and see if there`s a problem against the driver, also does the receiver flash a red light when you press a button on your remote?

Thanks

Pete

Thanks for the reply Pete.

Yeah i downloaded and installed the hip config files as described in the wiki.
Device manager says everything is fine and the receiver flashes (and HIP plays a prompt) for every single button i press.
The only thing unusual with my set up is that I had to hack the installation of the driver because it wouldn't work with my remote's vendorid/deviceid.

I would think that it would either work completely or not...but i'm getting
partial support...so i'm a bit baffled.
