Hi All,

Just bought an MVP and connected it up via my powerline network and it all worked great apart from some of the menus.

Displaying the program guide or other menus that 'pop up' another window display like a horizontal interference pattern. It's difficult to describe but it's as if the TV isn't synching properly with the MVP. Also, the screen sometimes goes blank.

I've also tried 3 different SCART leads but the syptoms remain!

Any thoughts?

If you install the hauppauge software you can adjust some settings like rgb/s-video, antiflicker and maybe more. These settings will stick if you load an other dongle afterwards.
On the tv you might also be able to adjust settings for the input the mvp is on.
It'll take some experimenting.

Have just tried connecting the MVP with the same SCART lead to my Hitachi 42" plasma and all the menus display OK. The problem only occurs when conneting to my Humax LP32-TDR1 TV anyone any ideas what to try?

If your tv has a svideo-in and audio-in you could try that, see if that's any better.

The Hauppauge forum holds the answer!

http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthr...light=sync

Cut the 16 pin connection in one end of the scart lead and ....... problem solved.
