It looks like you've got an inconsistent set of patches, ie only part of a patch a applied or something similar. Basically the application is looking for a function in a DLL that is not present in the version of the DLL you have.

Maybe go through the 'v1.0.16 survival guide' thread and reapply all the patches listed, in the order they're listed.

GBPVR just dies... it doesn't even error.

More logs attached.

Here's the .Net error (Unhandled - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Okay, no errors. However...

The window comes up, but I see whatever window or image is behind that. And if I move the PVRX2 window, it takes like a snapshot of whatever was behind it, with it.

I've seen this issue elsewhere, but I couldn't find it. (I did search...)

What video card do you have in that machine? A few nvidia geforce MX card owners have had exactly what you describe until they updated the videocard drivers they had installed.

I dont really know anything about that video device, but given the symptoms your described, it sounds like it doesnt support the Direct3D requirements for PVRX2.exe (maybe not enough video memory).

Hmm... Let me try the video memory.

It's actually a Via chipset.

I did DXDiag and it tested up to version 9 on the video side. (2d and 3d)

I installed the latest drivers.

Now PVRX2 says 'Sorry this system does not support the required VMR9 video render.'

Also, when I right click on the GB-Tray icon, it takes like 20 seconds for the menu to come up.

This client is WinXP Home, all the updates/patches, 1.8GHz AMD.

Reproduce this specific error then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.
