Just installed 10105, and i'm glad to see the search back, however it doesn't seem to work on just mouse and keyboard.
Here's all I get when searching, and it won't go any further:

I just checked here with both the keyboard then mouse, and it seems to function fine for me. When I select a letter I get a screen like that shown above. I select a show name then press 'enter' (or double click an item) and it adds the list of show times in an additional column on the right. Is this not the same on your machine?

As I recall, that was the problem I had when I upgraded to 1.0.16. See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...arch+guide for details.

The solution was to run changedatabase.exe from the GBPVR directory and to select the migrate data checkbox (and\or export recordings from the config panel first)

Sub, exactly. I press enter or mouse click, and it goes no further.
I tried changing databases and got nothing but errors starting pvrx2, so i went back to the original database.
I'll try changedatabase again, and see what happens.

The database change was a complete flop.
No recording sources, can't read the xml dump, crash starting config, etc.
A clean install of the newest version fixed everything.

Ok, so you're sorted then? Nothing for me to do.

Definitely linked -
I had this same issue also with the Access database and it was fixed when I migrated to SQLite (not smooth)

Sorry, but its been well over year since I tested the ChangeDatabase utility so I'm not surprised it could have problems with newer builds. Back when I first moved the preferred database to SQLite and I provided ChangeDatabase.exe, I recommended people use it to switch to SQLite. Stragglers have created their own problems by sticking with the old database.

I also dont test the application with any database other than SQLite. There must be very few people still using the old Access database.

So how can i successfully migrate to the new database?
Every time i've tried, it's a disaster, requiring a clean install, which is getting tiresome.
How about a release that only uses the newer?
I'd be willing to do another clean install to get out of the problems.

p.s. I've entered a few recurring recordings, and search has gone to hell again. Sad
