Fuzzy picture: hardware, software, or bad source?

Hi everyone!

I've a new problem that's driving me crazy!

A number of channels, about one third, are now showing a fuzzy picture with no sound. I'm using old fashioned cable TV here. The source is split several times to serve various TV's throughout the house. None of the TV's have shown this problem; all are receiving a clear signal.

Of course, my two most watched channels are among those affected. :mad:

I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 on XP with SPII.

Any ideas?

Wow! I just stumbled upon this fix and it worked!

I've switched the tuning option in the Direct Recording Configuration from "Cable" to "Antenna" and now it works. Go figure...:confused: I've never messed with this setting before; it used to work when it was set to "Cable".

I'll not attempt to figure out what I do not understand. I'm just happy it works.
