Hi Sub,

Do you support dvbs radio at all? I saw your post that you don't listen to the radio and I understand not having a plugin for it. I found in config.xml the "ignore bda radio during scan" or something like that. I set it to false but it still does not add them to the channels found list. It finds the stations in the scan because they are in the logs, but they don't write to the channel list.

Any hope of this feature in the future? My thought was if it showed on the channel list I could give it dummy epg data and I could listen from the interface. Is that possible?

Thanks

There is no DVB Radio support at this stage, but maybe in a future release.

Soccerdad, from your wishlist thread I was going to point you to this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30137
but it sounded like you wanted something easier. Also your signature didn't really give any DVB-S capability so I was a bit confused how to make recommendations.

Since can configure GBPVR QAM for digital radio, and ACTMS and bgowland seem to do it for DVB radion you should be able to manually add the stations you are looking for assuming those VPID an APID values from lyngsat are valid.

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the great info. I will look into it soon. Yes I have a DVB-S card. Its not on my sig since it has been in and out of my box as I play with it. (that sounds really bad :eekSmile I have a dish pointed at 110 and 119 but have settled on using it mostly for sat radio, just more for the novalty than anything. I will look into that thread and see what I can do.

Thanks for the post. I will let you know if it works.

update: I am sure sub is laughing at me since he said there was not dvbs radio support, but to update, I tried adding the info per the above thread and it did not work. I got the database updated, and think I have all the correct tuning info, but no love. I see the channel on the guide (without data of course) then when I pick the channel and have it play, I get a black screen and that is it. The tray icon turns green like it thinks something is happening, but nothing ever does. Oh well. No biggie. I did learn some stuff about the data base and now have SQLite Expert on my system.

It used to listen to digital radio (via QAM) with livetv, but in 1.1.5 I have to record it and then "listen" to the recording while it is recording. I use the Cyberlink mux and haven't tried this with the other muxes.
