Using FFDShow as dvd decoder?

I installed ffdshow, and it doesn't appear in the DVD decoder spot..
How do i like.. get it in there?
XP Pro, 2.4GHz Quad Core Processor (Q6600) 4GB RAM, Intel 975x Motherboard, 2x ATI Sapphire x1650 Pro Radeon 512MB Video Cards, 650 Watt Power supply, TV Wonder 650 ATI TV Card

If it definitely supports css encoded video, then you can add it's name to the <SupportedDVDDecoders> setting in config.xml.

It's in my Audio Spot.
And adding it in there didn't work.

Whats the right name?



And i saw somewhere that it might appear as something else?
What would it appear as?

The name can vary depending on the version you're running. You can use something like GraphEdit to check the name - choose the 'insert filter' menu option, then expand the Directshow category and scroll down to find the exact name.

I've often come across this issue with numerous misconfiguration and conflicts. I found that the order of install events is important. Most importantly stopping the recording service during install of codecs and filters. I always get the ffdshow and cyberlink decoders after a k-lite install, then restart the recording service, configure gbpvr and find they are available.
