Help with LiveTV

I select LiveTV. Receiver is sent channel and recording icons shows recording has started.

I have "Use Live preview" enabled. (If I disable it, any time I try to watch live TV, it selects the channel and then goes back to main menu).

I hit pause. Screen goes blank. A small red bar appears up to with 00:00 to the left and 02:00:00 on right (red bar about 40% of left side)

Then, no matter what I do, it goes back to the main menu.
Hit Pause again = main menu (recording stops)
Hit Play = main menu
Hit skip back or rewind = nothing
Hit skip forward or FF = nothing

Also, if I just let it sit there for a while on LiveTV mode, with recording icon showing on PC, I can not get any RW or skip back.

So even though it shows recording, it is truely "liveTV" without any pause, rewind, or recording features.

I have tried using keyboard to ensure it wasn't a remote issue.

I am using with satellite receiver if it matters with s-video into PVR-150.

What am I doing wrong or what config do I need to change?

Note: If I recorded it instead, I can watch the recording "history" while it continue to record....so it is just LivetV issue.

Also, why does the disable of live preview prevent watching anything?

EDIT: If I run GBPVR instead of PVRX2, when I hit pause, I hit "Starting Time Shift mode....Please wait."....and then nothing happends.

It most likely means that the timeshift file is not being recorded properly. Zip and post your logs after attempting to timeshift. Make sure the log level is set to "debug".

I tested with WINTV2000 and it did work so hopefully not a driver issue.

Here are logs.

(Start up PVRX2, go into LiveTV, hit pause, wait a while, hit play, goes back to main menu, exit).

You'll need enable log flushing in the config app then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

Does your c:\temp directory exist?

I post answer here so others can avoid my stupidity.

I came here to post answer...but Sub beat me to it.

C:\temp did not exist! I created c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\temp

and pointed to it...

and all is well.

Suggested to Sub: "Have install create that directory and default there instead of c:\temp"
