TV Walker and LiveTV

Hello,

i've got a problem concerning gbpvr and Tv Walker mini. I'm unable to get LiveTv to work. The Walker's native PVR (which sucks btw.) shows LiveTV without problems, but gbPVR only creates several empty *.mpg files in my HD-root directory. The *.log files also do not show an error, after starting livetv it waits some seconds(there is a parameter i can't remember that i turned higher to wait several seconds for live-tv) and then it closes livetv again. without any error. the log only says something like 'request to close livetv' .

My System: Acer TM4001, USB2, WinXPHome, 512MB RAM, installed winDVR 3 (just the demo that does not support my card)

Any suggestions?

I've got a TV Walker Ultra which is basicaly the same as the mini. There are some issues that Sub is going to address in future releases with the Walker, but here is how I've got it sorta working with Live TV:

1. I had to use the PowerDVD Cyberlink decoders for both Audio and Vidoe.

2. Had to be in Overlay mode and not VMR9/7.

3. Make sure your source in the configuration for the Walker is set to Tuner, the default is Capture.

Now with these settings, I get LiveTV, but my Atholon XP 2400+ has issues with the high bit rate that LiveTV uses. (Compression artifacts are visible while watching).

I have absolutely no problem recording MPEG2 streams with the Walker Ultra. Just funky LiveTV playback.

I don't know if that helped any or not.
