PVR-350 Silver remote problem.

I have a WinTV-PVR-350 with the silver remote.
And GB-PVR v0.23.13.

I read in the help files that If I check “Use direct access to Hauppauge remote” and don't start the remote, that I would be able to use it when GB-PVR does not have focus.  

I looked for the IR32.exe the doc specified but found that my remote software was loading ir.exe.  Anyway.  I stopped and restarted the computer (it stayed stopped).  Checked the flag in the config file and started GB-PVR.  Trouble is now the remote does not work at all.

Is there another step that I have to do?

im having the same problems, but with the new hauppauge remote (i stopped using my 350s remote, and started using my 150s). but when i was using the 350 it was much faster not to use direct access. so its not a big deal.
