I've been experiencing a frustrating menu problem with PVRX2 since the v1.1.5 release. When I navigate any submenu PVRX2 will exit back to the main menu after a small number of keystrokes. It makes it virtually impossible to look at the TV Guide or navigate a submenu for any length of time.

I tried a fresh install of v1.2.9 tonight without any skins or addons and still have the same problem. I don't see unexpected errors in the logs, it seems that a Picture Library.Deactivate() procedure was called even though I was only using the up and down arrows to move the cursor in the Picture Library submenu.

Can anybody help me out?

Are using a wireless keyboard or mouse? If so, try unplugging the mouse, and temporarily using a wired keyboard to see if the problem still occurs.

I remember another user that strangely had a problem with right mouse clicks occurring even when they werent doing anything, which the caused screens to drop back to the main menu.

I have the same problem and I always thought it was my wacky wireless keyboard/mouse combo. It's some flavor of Microsoft hardware, not sure without going to look at it. Mine doesn't exit randomly as sub stated, it seems to only misbehave when using the arrow keys. Like, for every 20th (guessing) arrow key sent, it drops out to the main menu. Glad to know others have seen similar insanity...

My wired keyboard has no problems, neither does my hauppauge remote. Any other suggestions sub?

If its your keyboard sending unexpected or incorrect keycodes then there isnt really much to suggest other than replacing the flakey hardware, or trying to remove any source of interference that is damaging its wireless signal.
