Hi all

not sure what im missing here

i have trawled throuh the forum to find an answer to this, but not having any luck

i have managed to get the PCH to the GBPVR main screen, i can navigate about, and view the TV guide and things like that, but when i pick a TV show to watch/ or a avi from it, the PCH does its usual flickering and i see the buffering message for a split second, and then back to the TV guide, or whatever i was on before.

hoping its a setting somewhere.. but not sure

i have a measley 640x480 LCD TV connected on the white/red/yellow connectors (sorry dont know what they are called)
(small side note: am finding the picture quality a bit ropey, not so bad when playing avis, but on the PCH menu screens, not good at all.. is this because of the connection to the TV i am using?)

and here are the setting i am using with the mvpmcx2

startmeup
Code:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m pal --edtv &

have tried with and without the edtv bit

i can telnet to the PCH fine, have also tried running that mvpmcx2 comand at the telnet command line.. spits out no end of stuff and then either get to a black screen (on the TV) where i cannot get away from without turning PCH off/on
or does what i mentioned above

have added these lines in GBPVR config.xml
Code:
<MAC-blahdy blah>
      <MVPClientType>PCH</MVPClientType>
      <MVPWidth>640</MVPWidth>
      <MVPHeight>480</MVPHeight>
      <MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
     <MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
      <MVPTranscodeTS>false</MVPTranscodeTS>
      <MVPTranscodeAVI>false</MVPTranscodeAVI>
      <MVPTranscodeWMV>false</MVPTranscodeWMV>
      <MVPTranscodeMKV>false</MVPTranscodeMKV>
    </MAC-blahdy blah>
the mac address being the one that is on the PCH network screen.

also have the setup as per the howto that is stickied on this forum..
any ideas ?

help as alway much appreciated

thanks

Do you have the web server and NMT streaming extensions enabled on the 'Misc2' tab of the config app? These need to be enabled for file playback to happen. If they are, but it still doesnt work, then zip and attach your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and I'll take a look.

As I mentioned above, you need to have the web server enabled. It is used to stream the files to the PCH via HTTP.

It definitely wasnt enabled in that log your posted.

Post another GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and I'll take another look.
